HEALTH & MEDICAL
Kaleela Umma Foundation is committed to achieving the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDG) which include affirming the right to good health and providing adequate food for all. KUF plans to do this by supporting the development of sustainable healthcare systems in the areas where we work.
KUF believes that good health and access to healthcare are fundamental human rights. The overall goal of KUF health programme is to improve the health of the poorest people and ensure that they have access to food. KUF nutrition programmes work to prevent malnutrition and ensure that those who do suffer can gradually recover to full health.
In tackling hunger, KUF aims to transform the lives of those living in poverty. Every year, we helps improve the health of thousands of poor people. KUF work is guided by a health policy. For the most part, KUF works on improving health through primary healthcare in emergency, rehabilitation and development situations specifically focusing on the following three areas:
- Maternal, neonatal and child health;
- Helping the needy of suffering from renal disease, cardiac and cancer patients.
